I have always been an early adopter of technology. My passion for taking and developing pictures began I was ten years old. Growing up with a printing press in the lower level of our house along with my interest in photography, made media creation a strong part of my life. When traditional typesetting and image processing became a digital process, I was excited with the new possibilities but there are many times when I miss the smell of the darkroom or freshly printed pages.

I completed my undergrad degree in Interdisciplinary Studies of Communications and Art. With a strong background in media production, my career is diverse and have worked in everything from publishing to video to motion graphics to computer networking and education. I have been teaching Media Communication and Web Design courses since 1996 online. I recently retired as technology director after 11 years in that role for the So. Worcester County Regional School District and have returned to teaching media communication courses at Southern New Hampshire University.

Over the course of my career, I witnessed many changes in education and the communications industry. It is satisfying to see the impact I made within the companies I worked at and with all the students I taught over the years. While photography is at the core of my skillset, media design and communications combined with computer networking and web design combine to define who I am and what to expect as an educator.
